New Hubble data confirms that Milky Way will collide with Andromeda Galaxy

Not any time soon but in the next 4 billion years it is predicted that our galaxy, the Milky Way will be colliding with its neighbour galaxy, Andromeda.
This was confirmed by NASA, and  scientists using the Hubble telescope.
According to NASA this collision will not have damaging  effects, as the sun and the planets will not be affected.  But as a result of this the two galaxies will be formed into one causing  increasd gravitational pull, this can make everything in our galaxy shift witch can effect us greatly.

Man, 71, fights sledgehammer wielding robbers

A 71 year old Michael Graver tries to stop several robbers as they try to break into a jewellers. The robbers were armed with sledgehammers and arrived on stolen scooters. he was attempting to fight them with a heavy leather bag, although the men did escape with £22,000 worth of watches Michael Graver acted very  bravely in his attempt to stop them.

Girl, 6, is youngest competitor in US National Spelling Bee

Lori Anne Madison is the youngest to ever go to the Us National spelling bee. Being only 6 years old, and competing against contestants up to 15 years old. the grand prize for this spelling bee is  $40,000 here are some quotes from the article. "Lori Anne Madison was given the word dirigible to spell, after lowering the microphone to meet her height, the six-year-old asked for a definition. She then promptly spelled the word and walked off with a smile." she also Correctly spelled words such as "philately"  "hafiz" and "flibbertigibbet".

This story called Toying with gun control from The Washington Times, talks about reasons why guns should not be outlawed. i agree that they should not be outlawed for reasons of protecting yourself and you're family. The article gave an example of an situation in London where gangs were robing shops and killing people that got in there way, in this situation the police were overwhelmed and had to retreat. in the end it was the store owners, firing from rooftops, with there own personal fire arms that protected there own lives, goods and families. I think this is a great example of why guns should not be outlawed.

Google's driverless car now street legal in Nevada

There is a new car from Google that requires no driver, the car itself has been given a licence. The car has been loaded with very special software package originally designed by Google for use in and around the company. The car has radar and video cameras. The only time it have been in a crash is when it was driven by a person.

Tornado Hits Thurman, Iowa.

Thurman, Iowa has been severly dammaged about 75% of the town was distroyed but there wer no injuries and no deaths in the town of about 250 people.

A new fruit found, called the African Mango is becoming popular to people trying to lose weight.

the people native to Cameroon where this mango is from use it for many medical purposes. this mando is different from others because it contains rvingia gabonensis  witch is good for lowering cholestrol,  regulating blood sugar and also for treating infections.

NASA Mars Orbiter Catches Dust Devil.

On Feb. 16, 2012, a dust devil was spotted on mars by the orbiter. The dust devil was 30 meters in diameter. like earth winds, the wind on mars are powered by solar heating. Unlike a tornado, a dust devil typically forms on a clear day when the ground is heated by the sun.

Beachgoers Save Beached Dolphins.

A pod of  dolphins washed up along the coastline of Rio de Janeiro.

Normaly in situations like this people wait for experts to show up and help. But in this case the people  waisted no time and were quickly able to save this pod of 30 dolphins. After more people started to notice, they realized they could help and they had the job done before experts had time to arrive.

Woman wants her hand replaced with bionic limb.

13 years ago  Nicola Wilding suffered serious neck and shoulder injuries,was paralysed in her arm. she now wants her hand to be replaced with a bionic limb.

She said she was inspired to take the drastic step after seeing a television news bulletin about an austrian man who underwent elective amputation.

Hackers beat Google Chrome security.

At the Pwn2own competition th were french hackers that were able to bypass Google’s vaunted security and take over a windows PC in less than five minutes.

“We wanted to show that Chrome was not unbreakable,” the firm’s head of research Chaouki Bekrar told ZDNet

I think this is a cool story, hacking google sounds like a hard thing to do.

Xavier Monsegur Arrested

25 Anonymous hackers were arrested, authorities had to get help from other hackers in order to catch them. 28 year old Hector Xavier is the suposed leader of this group of hackers.

I think that overall this was not a sucsesfull arrest because there are many more members in the hacker group Anonymous, and now they will only be harder to catch.

67-year-old man fends off felon with a baseball bat

PORTLAND, OREGON.

A man named Lerontae Robinson. who was on the run from the law was taken down Thursday, by a man with a baseball bat.  Police tried to serve a warrant on him and they had to use a tazer, but it was not enough to stop him and he was still able to escape later the man ran into a house to try and hide but he was taken out by the man with a baseball bat. Neighbors described the scene as pretty chaotic.

14-year-old Oregon girl dies after inhaling helium at party.

 EAGLE POINT, OREGON.

14 year old  Ashley Long died after inhaleing helium at a pary to make her voice sound funny. at the party there was also alcohol and marijuana involved. Instead of merely experiencing a voice change, she passed out and died latter at a hospital. Her parents are calling her a victum of peer pressure.

Two homeless men were shot  early Wednesday morning, they were sleeping under Morrison Street Bridge when they were shot by a driving suspect, the men were wounded not killed.

Three Indian politicians are cought watching porn on a moble phone during a session of parliament.

Patil the minister for women and child development.  Krishna Palemar the owner of the phone quit his job along with the other two. thats what happens I guess when you watch porn in the middle of at meeting of parliament.

For the first time on monday President Barack Obama admits to useing drones against soldiers in Pakistan. approximately 1,700 to 2,700 people were killed in crossfire in the past eight years as a result of drones.
